Venue:

Hastings, Victoria - approximately 60 minutes south-east of the Melbourne CBD.

Session Length:

This experience takes place approximately every sixth Sunday throughout the year. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Your heavy machinery play day starts at 10am and finishes at approximately 5pm.

Guidelines:

You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this experience. You must also hold a current driver's licence, which you are required to bring with you on the day. You should also bring your camera!

Dress Code:

You must wear closed-toe shoes - we recommend steel-capped workboots. Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and insect repellent in summer and bring warm clothing and socks and a raincoat in winter. You are welcome to bring your own safety vest. Additional protective wear will be provided on the day.

Other Info:

We are a registered training organisation and can provide further training for attendees who wish to become certified operators.

The price quoted is for one person. There will be a maximum of ten participants per group.

Product Description

Whether you just want to see what it's like to drive heavy machinery or are considering getting into the industry, this is the experience for you.

This play day is run by a national registered training organisation and is just like the introduction training that real plant machinery operators undertake when getting their certificate. You will be driving the same machinery and will be trained by the same teachers!

The day starts with a safety training session. After this we will get straight onto the machinery!

Your instructors demonstrate the correct ways to use the equipment, and then it's your turn. You will learn how to move the machines backwards and forwards, rotate them, lift, open and shut buckets, and move dirt around!

You will get to have a go on a wide range of excavators and skid steers that operate in different ways. To top it off, you will be issued with a proper logbook, so if you decide to take your training to the next level you've already started accumulating hours!

A BBQ lunch will be provided on the day.
