Session Length:

The lesson is 3 hours in duration, starting at 6.30pm on week nights and 9:30am on Saturday mornings. All classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrolments.

Guidelines:

This cooking school is designed specifically for men of all ages and skill levels, who want more confidence in the domestic kitchen, thus our classes are for men only. As we serve light beer and wine with the meals, participants should be 18 years or older, unless under direct parental supervision.

Dress Code:

Most of our students come straight from work. Aprons are provided which will give adequate protection for clothing. Closed shoes must be worn, preferably with solid soles with good grip.

Other Info:

Everything is provided, so you do not need to bring anything to the class. Once you have completed this first class, you will be able to do any of the other lessons which cover all the main food groups.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a maximum of 16 people to ensure that each student recieves plenty of time with the chef. Students usually cook in pairs.

Product Description

This cooking class is the first lesson in the complete cooking course. You will be offered a light beer, wine or mineral water on arrival, and then given a short brief on safety and orientation. The chef demonstrates the courses to be cooked, and answers any questions.

The students then cook under the guidance of the chef. When all is ready, we sit down and eat at a large single set table. This is when we match wines with the meals created, and discuss why it works.

After completing the lesson you will have practical experience in food preparation, cooking and presentation. You will have the skills necessary to provide good food, inexpensively, with a minimum of effort. Importantly, you are also taught many of the short cuts that professional chefs use to produce great results quickly - a bonus for guys on the go.

By introducing you to the practical theories of cooking, we expect that this is a course that you can enjoy for a lifetime.
